Garda Chardonnay DOC

Grapes: Chardonnay 100%

Growing area: Vineyards are located in the villages of Colognola ai Colli, Soave and Cazzano di Tramingna, at elevations of 300 – 500 meters, medium-gravelly clay soil.

Rearing system: Guyot and pergola soavese. Grapes thinning and, in the drought-stricken areas, irrigation is practiced during the summer.

Harvest time: Beginning of September, after careful check of grapes ripening. Minimum alcohol degree at harvest

Wine making and fining: Crio-maceration for 12 hours at 4-5°C in the press, pressing the day after, static decanting of the must, addition of selected yeasts, fermentation at 16°C to preserve the fragrance. Ripening on yeasts for 5 months, in stainless steel.

Colour: straw yellow

Bouquet: intense fruity aroma of ripe white fruits.

Palate: in the mouth a pleasant relation salty-acid gives elegance and persistence to the roundness of the product. Thank to its fine taste it is one of the most interesting local Chardonnay.

Gastronomic accompaniments: Ideal as appetiser, with entrees, white meats, fish dishes and vegetables.

Drinking temperature: 10-12 °C

Alcohol content: 12,5%
