Lycos bianco delle Venezie IGT

Grapes: Only white grapes, Garganega, Chardonnay and Trebbiano di Soave

Growing area: The vines are planted in the hills of Soave, Monteforte d’Alpone, and Colognola ai Colli, at elevations of 150-300 metres, in soils with various characteristics, ranging from clay to limestone.


Training system: Traditional pergola soavese for the oldest vines, and vertical trellising for the youngest vines.


Harvest time: From middle of September to the beginning of November. During this period, small quantities of white-grape varieties of the area are picked, some picked at physiological ripeness and some when over-ripe. The clusters are picked into boxes, brought to the cellar, and pressed the same day.

Winemaking and maturation: Cold maceration for 24 hours at 3-4 °C, then pressing and fermentation in stainless steel and racking. Maturation in barriques for at least 6 months before bottling. 


Appearance: Bright straw yellow with golden nuances. 


Bouquet: Nuances of ripe fruit, quince and honey.


Palate: Well-balanced, vibrant and velvety, with a lingering, full-flavoured finish.


Serving suggestions: Lighter meats, game and cheeses


Best served at: 10-12°C


Alcohol: 13%
