Change in the top ranks at Cantina di Soave: the historic producer named a new Chairman on 9 November. In the course of the annual membership meeting for approval of the Financial report, Attilio Carlesso passed the reins to Roberto Soriolo.
Born in Soave in 1954 and with a degree in Veterinary Medicine, Roberto Soriolo directs his family’s farm and has spent his entire career in cattle raising and processing. From 2002-2005, he served as Assessor of Production Enterprises for the town of San Bonifacio and has been a member of Cantina di Soave’s Board of Directors since 2009.
«At the conclusion of my term of office – stated Carlesso – and after serving for 6 years as Vice-Chairman, and 10 years as Chairman of the Cantina, I am delighted to pass the helm to my successor, whom I know well and have always highly esteemed. He has my warmest best wishes. After many years of commitment and dedicated efforts, I take leave of my position with the satisfaction of having witnessed the growth, evolution, and consolidation of our winery operations. I extend my thanks to each and every one of our members for the esteem, affection, and support that they have unfailingly shown me».
Neo- Chairman Soriolo expressed his pride in succeeding Carlesso, in the quality of his efforts over the years, and for the importance of the results that have been achieved during his terms.
«I have served as a member of the Board of Directors for almost ten years now – commented Soriolo – and thus this change in leadership takes place in the context of continuity. My commitment will be unceasing, and I want to thank the membership for the trust that they have placed in me. I am pleased and honoured to serve in this capacity for such a prestigious cooperative as Cantina di Soave, a producer that has always been forward-looking, amply demonstrated by its current investments that will show significant results over the course of the next few years».
